Annie graduated as a Person-Centred Counsellor in 1996 from Southampton City College. She went on to become a Personal Development Group facilitator on the Advanced Diploma Counselling Courses there for a year. She started working with adults with learning difficulties and her interest deepened into the creative aspects of self, leading to training in Integrated Art Therapy at the Institute of Arts and Therapy in Education in London, gaining a Certificate in 1999.
From this emerged a very deep interest in energy; Annie followed a traditional spiritual training and instruction in T'ai Ch'i and Ch'i Gong from 2000, which continues to this day. She has been working in Salisbury for some four years and was delighted to open a studio in Fisherton Mill in September 2007. This replaced her recent practice at 'not just backs...' cranial osteopathic clinic in Exeter Street and practices in St Catherine's Place in Bath and Islington, London.
Her practice is called The Heart of Being and is all about Being in the Heart and living fully in the moment. As you will see from the website, she draws on counselling, art therapy, t'ai ch'i, ch'i gong and spiritual principles within her practice. She also offers subtle body work - energy balancing, i.e.healing as part of the sessions. Working with a broad spectrum of people, she specialises in emotional release.
